Methodological Framework for Participatory Action Research

This col­lec­tion of metho­do­lo­gi­cal sheets pre­sents a coherent and ope­ra­tio­nal fra­me­work for imple­men­ting Par­ti­ci­pa­to­ry Action Research (PAR) in agri­cul­tu­ral and rural deve­lop­ment contexts. It is inten­ded for faci­li­ta­tors, tech­ni­cians, resear­chers, and far­mer orga­ni­sa­tions enga­ged in pro­cesses that aim to streng­then far­mers’ capa­ci­ty to ana­lyse their situa­tions, expe­riment, learn col­lec­ti­ve­ly, and act on the condi­tions that shape their live­li­hoods.

The docu­ment draws on concrete field expe­rience and capi­ta­li­sa­tion work conduc­ted within the MINPAD pro­ject and the FORI pro­gramme in Phi­lip­pines, while being firm­ly ancho­red in the metho­do­lo­gi­cal foun­da­tions of the Social Construc­tion of Demand (SCD) and GERDAL- Coac­tive Search of solu­tion approaches.
