The Asian Partnership for the Development of Human Resources in Rural Areas (AsiaDHRRA) is implementing a 4-year EU Action Grant called “Regional Cooperation to Empower Rural Development Organizations in Asia (ReCoERDO-Asia). It is under the over-arching EU Framework Partnership Agreement with AsiaDHRRA from 2016-2020.

The purpose of this cooperation is to contribute to the improvement of the socio-economic well-being of members of rural people’s organization in Southeast Asia through strengthened capacity of CSOs in responding to rural development issues. CSA, a Belgian agri-agency from the AgriCord alliance, and AFA, a regional farmers organization, are associated partners in this Action.

The Learning Exchange Visit in Europe shall contribute to the achievement of the three-pronged objectives of the ReCoERDO project, as follows :

- To strengthen the organizational capacities of CSOs in delivering effective services to rural peoples’ organizations (Component 1 – Capacity Building of Rural Development NGOs)

- To strengthen the role and engagement of the AsiaDHRRA network in regional and global platforms (Component 2 – Regional Movement and Policy Advocacy)

- To empower grassroots rural peoples’ organizations by building capacity to effectively engage public and private (Component 3 – Strengthening Services to Rural People’s Organizations).
