Study Tour in Europe on Cooperatives and Rural Development
Learning Visit in Europe of Southeast Asian Civil Society Rural Development Leaders and Practitionners - Co-organized by CSA / AsiaDHRRA

From Tuesday the 2nd to Wednesday the 10th of May 2017, a delegation of 20 leaders and practitioners of the Asian Rural Development will take part to a study tour accros Belgium and France entitled "Learning Visit in Europe of Southeast Asian Civil Society Rural Development Leaders and Practitioners".
The Asian Partnership for the Development of Human Resources in Rural Areas (AsiaDHRRA) is implementing a 4-year EU Action Grant called “Regional Cooperation to Empower Rural Development Organizations in Asia (ReCoERDO-Asia). It is under the over-arching EU Framework Partnership Agreement with AsiaDHRRA from 2016-2020.
The purpose of this cooperation is to contribute to the improvement of the socio-economic well-being of members of rural people’s organization in Southeast Asia through strengthened capacity of CSOs in responding to rural development issues. CSA, a Belgian agri-agency from the AgriCord alliance, and AFA, a regional farmers organization, are associated partners in this Action.
The Learning Exchange Visit in Europe shall contribute to the achievement of the three-pronged objectives of the ReCoERDO project, as follows :
To strengthen the organizational capacities of CSOs in delivering effective services to rural peoples’ organizations (Component 1 – Capacity Building of Rural Development NGOs)
To strengthen the role and engagement of the AsiaDHRRA network in regional and global platforms (Component 2 – Regional Movement and Policy Advocacy)
To empower grassroots rural peoples’ organizations by building capacity to effectively engage public and private (Component 3 – Strengthening Services to Rural People’s Organizations).
